Shelling Trip to Keewaydin Island

The excursion chair has planned a shelling trip to Keewaydin Island, taking the Hemingway Shuttle from Rose Marina on Marco Island. The boat will leave at 7:45 a.m., arriving at Keewaydin at 8:30. We will spend 3 ½ hours shelling, then leave at 12:00. Travel time is a half hour each way. There are twenty (20) available seats, which will be filled on a first registered and paid basis. The cost is $52.10 each,  payable by check only to Marco Island Shell Club. Bring to workshop or mail to Marco Island Shell Club, P.O. Box 633, Marco Island, FL 34146. Registration will end on February 14, or when the boat capacity is reached. Gratuity is not included, so the chair will collect $5-$10 cash from each attendee that day. You can bring a chair and/or cooler if you like. There are usually food boats on the island if you want to buy a lunch. The shuttle will provide complimentary water. It is supposed to be a low tide morning so we should have a good shelling day.
