The Marco Island Shell Clib is a friendly and dedicated 501(c)(3) non-profit organization for shell enthusiasts at all levels of interest and expertise. The Club season, which begins in late October or early November and continues through March of the next year, includes weekly Tuesday morning shell art workshops, which culminate in the annual Shell Show in March. Evening seminars, varied excursions, and the annual end-of-year celebration round out the season.
Our mission is to promote the study, conservation, history, and science of seashells and mollusks, and to encourage shell-related interests, such as shell collecting, crafting and shell art.
New members, either individual or a 2-person household, are always welcome. The club's membership year runs from January to December, however, for those who join at the beginning of our season in November or December, membership continues through December 31 of the following year.
